What I’ve learned in 2016

  • Do what you love – We only have once chance in life. Follow your passion. Avoid having regrets because you don’t have time to do what you always wanted to do. Never let others dictate what you should do with your life. Use your freewill.
  • Not everyone will like you – Stop pretending to be someone you’re not just for a particular person to like you. We have different preferences. You do you. You be you. It’s easier to live a life not proving yourself to anyone.
  • Family above everyone one else – You only have one family in your lifetime. Yes, work can sometimes drown you but finding time to be with them is priceless. Do it while you still can. Making memories with them is a real treasure that you can keep for a very long time.
  • Learn to forgive – Forgiveness reduces anger, hurt, depression and stress. Learning to forgive means giving yourself peace and compassion. It also leads to a healthy relationship as well as physical health.
  • Don’t sweat on the small stuff – Dwelling too much on something we can no longer change gives us too much stress and unproductive day. Instead of being worried all day, let’s learn how to shrug it off and focus more on stuff that are far more important that what we worry about.
  • Be healthy and stay healthy – Health is wealth. Keeping your body in it’s full potential can take you to places. Exercise and eating right can be the beginning of a fuller you. It is easier to do everything you want when you are safe from any diseases or illness.
  • Life is not always about work – Learn how to balance your professional and social life. Sometimes when work is too much, going out with your family or friends is a great way to ease your mind off of things. Learn how to unwind and give yourself a well-deserved pamper time.
  • You will fail – Failing doesn’t have to stop you in reaching your dream. It is normal for us to fail. What’s important is that we can get up and start all over again. Failing is a sign that we are trying. Strive for success. Nothing is impossible.
  • Embrace the Law of Attraction – What you want, what you desire, what you wish, you will receive. Focus on the things you want and imagine yourself having them. The thought of having what you want fuels your desire to do more and make things possible.
  • Always be grateful with what you have – Some people wish to own the things that you have. Big or small, always be thankful. Everything you have is a blessing. Keep it and take good care of it.
  • Never lose FAITH – Everything happens in God’s perfect timing. Never too early, never late. Just right on time. When you think that things are not going your way, know that God has a better plan for you. Trust HIM.
  • Pay your debts – Return what you owe. The money that people lend to you means a lot to them as well. Maybe not now, but sooner or later they will need it. So learn how to return what you borrowed. When people lend you something, it is not only the money that they gave you but also their trust. Breaking someone’s trust is worse than not paying your debts.
  • Save  and Invest – Part of growing up is the maturity to handle finances. Saving money or making an investment is a smart way to handle your hard-earned money. I know sometimes there are urges to splurge but make sure that you always spend money not more that what you are receiving.
  • Avoid toxic relationships with people around you – Toxic people wallow in their problems and fail to focus on solutions. Some are unaware of the negative impact they have on those around them. As much as possible, restrict yourself from being with them. You might attract their aura and it might affect your point of view on things and life. Be with someone who can always bring out the best in you.
  • Love yourself – Talk yourself happy. Training your mind to become more positive makes life a lot better. Let go of any numbing feelings you have from within. Let you enjoy life and live in appreciation. Loving yourself means understanding what you want and being guided by your own intuition. It gives you the power of independence and lastly, self- appreciation.
  • Always give your best – The success you wish happen in your life doesn’t depend on the image you are able to project physically. It is a result of the authenticity with which you live your life in every moment. Always put 100% of your effort, time and commitment in everything you’re doing to make it more meaningful. Giving your best in every chance you get make life satisfying.
  • Let go of the things that hurt you – Not holding on the things that hurt you isn’t easy. However, no matter what has happened to you in the past, it is more important to remember that you are in control of your life and you have the power to make a great future for yourself.
